Description
The Twin Lakes Rest Area is a great spot to stop on Rt. 11 as you come and go from the Katahdin region. Maine DOT does a great job putting rest areas in beautiful spots. Stop and enjoy the public bathroom, covered picnic tables, and interpretive information. You'll be impressed and relaxed by the iconic view of South Twin lake and 5 Lakes Lodge.
Location: The Twin Lakes Rest Area is located in the Norcross area of Long A Township, 7 miles southwest of downtown Millinocket, next to the South Twin Lake public boat launch and 5 Lakes Lodge.
