South Twin Lake Boat Launch

The South Twin Lake Boat Launch is a free public launch located next to 5 Lakes Lodge and the Twin Lakes Rest Stop. The views of South Twin Lake offer a beautiful setting to start and finish your day on the water. This launch offers access to South Twin, Elbow, Twin, Pemadumcook, and Ambajejus lakes for a wide variety of outdoor recreation activities. The "Lakes" region of Katahdin, at Spencer Cove, where Ambajejus and Millinocket Lakes come together, can even be reached by boat from this launch - access to Golden Road Crossing, Big Moose Inn & Loose Moose Bar & Grill, Katahdin Air Seaplane Service, the Lakes Byway Information Area, and more.

The South Twin Lake Boat Launch has a 13% hard surface launch with a nice metal dock. There's parking space for 10 trailers and another 10 vehicles.
