Patten Pioneer Days 2026 – A Weeklong Celebration of History, Community, and Fun in downtown Patten, Maine!

Patten Pioneer Days returns August 3–9, 2026, for a full week of family activities, local food, live entertainment, and beloved community traditions in Patten and the surrounding Shin Pond area.

This year’s parade celebrates the 250th anniversary of the United States with the theme “Celebrating 250 Years of America.”

The festivities begin Monday with the Pet Parade, Frog Jumping Contest, and family dodgeball. Events continue throughout the week with an art show, watermelon-eating contest, foam dance party, teddy bear picnic, color run, community dinners and family movie night.

Friday and Saturday feature the 3rd Maine Regiment Infantry Company, the Kids Decorated Bike Parade, Bean Hole Dinner, craft and vendor fair, vehicle show, live music and the Patten Pioneer Days Parade. Saturday evening concludes with fireworks at Shin Pond Village Field.

The celebration continues Sunday with the 10th Annual Dustin Harris Poker Run and a Patten Historical Society yard sale.

With community meals, children’s activities, music, history and small-town Maine hospitality, Patten Pioneer Days offers something for every generation.
