Katahdin Kritters Pet Resort

Katahdin Kritters Pet Resort (KKPR), located in East Millinocket, is a multi-species facility that offers pet daycare with a home like environment. KKPR is a modern cage-free facility for all small pet species supervised by a trained and certified veterinary technician.

Facilities

The dog area consists of a 75’ x 100’ outdoor kennel free fenced in play area. The play area is complete with toys, kiddie pools, shaded areas, play fixtures, and fresh drinking water available at all times.

The indoor dog area includes radiant floor heating and air conditioning, slightly elevated PVC dog cots, couches for lounging and plenty of toys. There are isolated kennels for dogs who are more comfortable in that type of environment, or for those that may pose a risk to other pets in a large group.

Cat facilities are indoor and consist of a private room containing a large cat condo (carpeted treehouse), toys, beds, access to a window with bird feeders in view, and an aquarium.

For birds, rodents, reptiles, or other exotics, there is a separate room providing appropriate stimulation and equipment.
