Welcome to Golden Road Crossing & Yacht Club (formerly Northwoods Trading Post), the closest store, restaurant, and bar to Baxter State Park. Stop in for all your gear and supply needs. Conveniently located at the only spot the Golden Road and Baxter State Park Road come together, about 9 miles northwest of downtown Millinocket, Maine, and a stone's throw from Katahdin Seaplane Air Service. Golden Road Crossing also sits on the shores of Millinocket Lake and Ambajejus Lake. You'll find everything you need to enjoy your stay in the Katahdin region. Food (MENU HERE), drinks, gear, an impressive selection of souvenirs and locally made crafts, and artwork.

Golden Road Crossing offers unique, high-quality crafts and souvenirs made in Maine or New England. It also has a section for camping, fishing, and hiking gear, a dynamic menu using fresh ingredients, and an ever-changing array of options. The store features local artists who offer photography, artwork, jewelry, and hand-thrown pottery.

The menu includes freshly made pizza, paninis, breakfast sandwiches, salads, specialty sandwiches, and of course, Lobster rolls, and often delicious Maine oysters too. The beer and wine selection has been greatly expanded to include many local craft beers and an excellent selection of wines. Spirits are now sold at the store as well.

Enjoy the amazing view of the lake on the second-floor deck of the bar "The Yacht Club", which is open daily as weather permits and from noon to 8pm during high season.
