East Millinocket Summerfest 2026 brought a full weekend of small-town celebration, family fun, live music, local food, reunions, and community pride to the Katahdin Region of Maine. Taking place Thursday, July 9 (town-wide yard sale opens) through Sunday, July 12, 2026. This annual summer festival is a great reason to visit East Millinocket and experience the welcoming spirit of northern Maine.
The celebration began with a town-wide yard sale running Thursday through Sunday, giving visitors a chance to explore the community, meet local residents, and discover hidden treasures throughout town. One of the weekend’s signature highlights was the Summerfest Parade on Main Street, scheduled for Saturday, July 11, at 10:00 AM. With clowns, cheerleaders, cars, and plenty of hometown energy, the parade was a festive way to kick off a full day of activities.
Friday, July 10 and Saturday, July 11 featured a variety of park events and activities for all ages, including a roaming railroad, kids games by Penquis, an inflatable obstacle course, dunk tank, and climbing wall. Friday’s special events included a Color Fun Run at 10:00 AM, free hot dogs by EMFCU from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and Coin Scrabble at 1:00 PM. On Saturday, visitors enjoyed free haircuts by Nina from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Firetruck Foam from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Food vendors added even more flavor to the weekend, with options including The Lobster Roll, Yogi Funnel Cake, Chinese food, ice cream, kettle corn, and more. Live music filled the park on Friday with performances by Jeff Hamm, Strumdingers, Cardine Skinner, Wally Paul, Mark Miller, Ben Barr & The Has Beens, and Dennis McQuire. Saturday’s entertainment included East Millinocket’s Got Talent, Highway 207, and contest winners.
Summerfest also included alumni and reunion events, plus evening street dances at The Hamlet Pub with DJD Entertainment and Highway 207. Whether you are visiting family, exploring the Katahdin Region, or looking for a classic Maine summer festival, East Millinocket Summerfest 2026 offered a fun-filled weekend in the heart of northern Maine.
