Back Wood BBQ is based in Mount Chase Maine, but their mobile BBQ trailer does events all over the Katahdin region. Their usual spot at 76 Mountain Rd. in Mount Chase is just off the Katahdin Woods and Waters National Scenic Byway, and convenient to both the North Gate of Baxter State Park and the Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument.
Smoked ribs, smoked sausage, pulled pork, smash burgers, cole slaw, hot dogs & fries, mozzarella sticks, meatball subs, green beans, and the list goes on, including sodas and water. They offer hometown pricing, making it a great spot for families also.
Back Wood BBQ is operated by Lloyd and Margaret Phillips. They do pop-up dining most weekends from spring to fall, in addition to many Wednesdays, Thursdays, and special events. Check their FB or call for hours and rotating menus.
Their usual spot at 76 Mountain Road in Mount Chase is on the ATV trails.
