Description
Every year, the Island Falls Lakes Association sponsors a canoe/kayak race starting at the Birch Point Campground at Island Falls. There are various categories and courses, designed for everyone to come out and have fun while also contributing to the scholarship fund to help a local high school student pursue their college dreams.
The Island Falls Lakes Assocation is a non-profit organization established to protect the ecosystems of Mattawamkeag Lake and Pleasant Pond as well as their watersheds by promoting an appreciation of natural resources and responsible preservation, conservation, stewardship, development, and public policy.
